Our Sweet Little Addie!

After a long, long pregnancy.. Our little Addie arrived to our family on May 15, 2011. I am excited to tell my labor story so I will always remember it ha (I know i am weird but it is a special experience!) So on May 5 ,2011, we went to the dr. and he said I needed to go to the hospital right away. That my blood pressure was high and that he wanted to induce me after some testing. So I was stressing because the next day was Chris's little brothers wedding. I did not want to take away from their day and I also wasn't ready to be a mother of two! Needless to say we convinced them not to take me so we could go to the wedding. After a series of more testing every other day.. we decided to induce me on Tuesday May 17, 10 days early. But I went into labor on Sunday May 15. I woke up early Sunday morning just not feeling great. I thought my water broke ( I later learned it didn't) and then almost instantly around 8 am I started contractions. I was in total denial... so I waited them out. Chris told me we should go to the hospital but I was not ready for fear I was ruining Maddex's life ha.. but around 12 in the afternoon I decided this wasn't going away and it was seriously hurting. So I called my mom, she came over to get Maddex and me and Chris headed to the hospital. On the way there my contractions were about 2 min apart. We got there and I was dialated to a 4 and within an hour I was a 7. But because I had to be on antibiotics for 3 hrs. they would not break my water. So I was in so SO much pain.. I got my epidural (thank goodness). Contractions are the worst pain I have ever felt. Chris thought I would break his hand. Thank goodness for that miracle drug! anyways I was admitted to the hospital at 2 and I pushed for about 10 minutes when the dr said she was stuck.. they immediately laid my bed down and the nurse sat on top of me ( and of course my epidural wasn't working on the left side) and the nurse physically pushed her out of me and the dr. pulled really hard, chris said he saw his muscles ha.. and after about 10 more minutes we had little Addie girl at 7:39 pm. She was a perfect 10 lbs 4 oz baby girl! Maddex had a rough adjustment for the first week.. but now he absolutely LOVES her.. We could not imagine life with out her.. she is so sweet and honestly the best baby. She only cries when she is hungry and has slept through the night since she was 3 weeks old! We love our two little ones and Life can't get much better!
